In Review: PCMA presented at the Division of Insurance’s (DoI) Health Information Session on PBMs. Commissioner Michael Caljouw introduced himself to the attendees, while Deputy Commissioner Kevin Beagan moderated the session. The DoI’s questions focused on how PBMs contract with clients, pharmacies, and drug manufacturers. Governor Maura Healey (D) released the budget for 2026, which included various healthcare policies, such as penalties for excessive price increases on prescription drugs and an assessment of pharmacies for all claims dispensed to supplement Medicaid claim reimbursements.
