In Review: PCMA met with Representative Marjorie Decker (D), who is the House Chair of the Joint Committee on Public Health. We discussed the value PBMs bring to the market and the Group Insurance Commission (GIC), which is the state’s employee plan. The Chair appeared to be particularly interested in ensuring rebates were used to lower premiums and how the GIC will handle high-cost rare disease drugs entering the market. PCMA will continue to work with Chair Decker and Chair John Lawn (D), healthcare finance House Chair, as the House works on its version of a healthcare bill.
