In Review: The Senate swore in the senator-elect from the recent special election, so the DFL party has a one-vote majority, and the power-sharing agreement in the Senate was terminated. Leadership in the House of Representatives came to a power-sharing agreement, so all members are back on the floor as well as their offices. Given the “break”, things are going to get moving very quickly to try to make up time. The following bills have been introduced: SF 628 (copay accumulator) and SF 731 (Prohibit Prior Authorization for Less than $100). The following bills were introduced: SF 1053 (Coverage for Obesity), SF 1106 (Medical Assistance Dispensing Fee for Health Plan Companies, and SF 1107 (Disclosure of Health Care Provider Reimbursement Arrangements to Enrollees and Health Care Providers).
Up Next: PCMA will meet this afternoon with Senator Liz Bolden (DFL). On Tuesday, PCMA will meet with Representative Jeff Backer (R), the Health Finance and Policy Chair, and then a group meeting with Senators Mark Johnson (R) (GOP Leader), Jordan Rasmusson (R) (Assistant Minority Leaders), and Paul Utke (R) (Ranking Minority Member of Health and Human Services Committee).
