In Review: Last week, the language, spreadsheet, and bill summary of the House HHS omnibus bill, HF 2435, were released, and because it was already in the House Ways and Means Committee, an informational hearing was held in the House Health Finance and Policy Committee. There were no high-priority issues included in the language. The bill was amended and passed the House Ways and Means Committee.
Up Next: The House HHS omnibus bill is expected to be debated on the House floor today. The Senate HHS omnibus bill (SF 2669) was anticipated to be debated on the Senate floor last week, but now it is anticipated to happen on Wednesday. As a reminder, PCMA is following the high priority issues included in the Senate bill, which are: SF 1806 (Prohibiting Certain Formulary Changes During the Plan Year), located in Article 5, and SF 3294 (Transparency to Department of Health Provision Amendments), located in Article 2.
