In Review: PCMA presented last week before the House Committee on Prescription Drugs.  PCMA was asked to present PBM tools, reimbursement, rebates, and the recent activity at the FTC. After completing our comments, PCMA received questions covering various topics, including PBM contract language, gag clauses, reimbursement issues, switch fees, and network issues. Audience members were allowed to participate in all portions of the Q&A and even challenge responses from PCMA to committee members.

Up Next: The House Committee on Prescription Drugs has another hearing on September 11. The intent of that hearing is to hear from plan sponsors, but after last week’s hearing, which was more of a setup, the groups invited to speak will potentially decline the invite. PCMA is pulling together information to provide the Committee Chair and staff a follow-up to our presentation and to help answer the questions that were fired by the audience.
