In Review: The Mississippi Legislature convened on January 7^, 2025. PCMA is already tracking five PBM-related bills, including Representative Lee Yancey’s (R) HB 119. This bill is similar to the one he introduced in 2024, which initially only required that pharmacists be reimbursed. As you will recall, Rep. Yancey’s bill was amended on the Senate floor on the final days of the session to include the Pharamcist’s wish list but ultimately failed when the final version came out of the conference committee.

Up Next: PCMA anticipates several additional PBM-related measures will be introduced, including a bill that will address several issues raised by the Board of Pharmacy, the Pharmacists, and the business community in Mississippi. That bill should come any day now.
