In Review: Last week, several additional PBM bills were filed, bringing the total to 34 bills being tracked by PCMA. These bills cover a wide range of topics, from 340B to ERISA.
House Speaker Jason White (D) introduced HB 1123 on Tuesday. The legislation, which is primarily a transparency bill on PBMs, PSAOs, and PhRMA also includes a narrow ban on spread, passed out of the State Affairs Committee on Wednesday and the House floor on Thursday. While HB 1123 is not ideal, four or five other bills introduced in the House are much worse and more closely mirror the bills we have defeated in the last several sessions.
Up Next: PCMA will be in Mississippi this week to meet with House and Senate leadership to discuss HB 1123 and the status of the other bills in play.
