In Review: Last week was the bill request deadline in Mississippi. While legislation is still trickling in, at the moment, it appears the pharmacists have pivoted from their ‘Kitchen Sink’ proposal to an Any Willing Provider approach in HB 1255. SB 2140, the Prior Authorization bill that was sailing through the legislature, has seemed to hit a snag. The bill was amended in the House nearly two weeks ago before passage, and the Senate has not yet agreed to the House amendments. PCMA is engaging on bills related to 340B, importation, white bagging, step therapy, and frozen formulary in Mississippi.

Up Next:  The next few weeks will be busy committee weeks in Mississippi as bills need to be voted out by their respective committees, or they are done for the year.
