In Review: Last week, SB 2140, a Prior Authorization bill, was introduced in the Senate and passed the floor 52-0 on Wednesday morning. Over the interim, much work was put into a compromise bill, but unfortunately, SB 2140 does not entirely reflect that effort. SB 2140 has support from the Lieutenant Governor and Speaker of the House.

Up Next: PCMA is working with the team on the ground to request a few technical amendments before the bill is in the House Public Health Committee this week. The bill request deadline was extended to February 14, and PCMA still anticipates additional PBM legislation to be introduced.
