Montana Weekly Update 11.17.25

In Review: The Montana Economic Affairs Committee met on November 11–12 to continue its work on SR 33 (Prescription Drug Affordability), taking testimony from health plans (including AHIP and Mercer Consulting). This discussion tees up the January 8, 2026 meeting, where legislators have indicated a desire to review policies, including the New Mexico drug price transparency framework, brown bagging, expanded financial reporting to include PBMs and wholesalers, and increased transparency and oversight of manufacturer copay coupon programs. PCMA is continuing to engage and provide fact-based evidence to the Committee.
