In Review: Last week, the Banking, Commerce, and Insurance Committee held three days of hearings. The committee invited pharmacists, PSAOs, Pharma, hospitals, physicians, health plans, and PBMs to make presentations. At the conclusion, the committee gathered all the parties for a discussion focusing on reimbursement, although Senator Tony Sorrentino (R), while not on the committee, asked several questions relating to PBMs’ relationship with brokers/consultants.

Up next: PCMA will hold a conference call shortly after the Thanksgiving break to discuss strategy and next steps.
