In Review: The Senate Health and Human Services Committee held a hearing on S 354, which would apply copay coupons to a patient’s deductible. PCMA’s local lobbyist testified, as well as America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) voicing our concerns with the bill. AHIP is working with the bill sponsor on an amendment so that a coupon cannot be used if there is a generic equivalent and applying the coupon for the entire year.

Up Next: PCMA will present at the New Hampshire Prescription Drug Affordability Board on Monday, January 29. The presentation will focus on the safety of white bagging, where a PBM specialty pharmacy will ship medication to a provider.
