New Jersey Weekly Update 10.21.24

In Review: New Jersey has introduced a new PBM bill modeled on the federal “delinking” measure. The bill would, among other things, require compensation to a PBM to be on a flat fee basis, that PBMs have a fiduciary duty to the long-term health outcomes of patients, that network agreements not be required for independent pharmacies to service PBM patients, and that independent pharmacies be reimbursed their acquisition cost. A discussion-only hearing is scheduled for October 24 in the Assembly Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee.
