Up Next: Last week we saw the introduction of two bills restricting the use of step therapy and prior authorization, HB 185 and SB 135; and this week, PCMA is meeting with Legislative Finance Council staff to share information on the cost impact of these proposals. PCMA is coordinating with America’s Health Insurance Plan (AHIP) and other plans in New Mexico to synchronize our opposition. PCMA will also be meeting with legislators this week at the Round House to share the patient safety risks associated with restricting the use of step therapy and prior authorization.
