New Mexico Weekly Update 2.10.25

In Review: Last Thursday, New Mexico’s delinking bill, SB 62, was removed from the Senate Tax, Business, & Transportation Committee’s agenda after the Fiscal Impact Report showed a fiscal impact of almost $170 million to the state’s retiree and public school insurance benefit plans. According to the Senate sponsor, the bill is on hold while the Governor’s Secretary of Health “works on it.” PCMA continues our grassroots, grasstops, and advertising campaign to combat the bill. PCMA would like to thank members and their local counsel for their hard work in reaching out to members of the Senate committee to stop the bill.
