In Review: Last week was the deadline for the introduction of bills and we saw several coverage mandates and restrictions on PBM practices introduced. Senate Bill 503 restricts steering and spread pricing. Other bills extend restrictions on prior authorization and step therapy to GLP-1s, blood pressure and cholesterol drugs, chemotherapy, diabetes, and many more conditions or services. While the “delinking” bill, SB 62, lies dormant, these new threats will ensure there is much more work to do in New Mexico ahead of the end of the session next month.
