In Review: Last Saturday, the New Mexico Legislature adjourned sine die. The adjournment confirms the defeat of delinking, a ban on steering and spread pricing, and various coverage mandates. PCMA would like to thank all of the members and their local counsel for the work this session to stop these bills. The fiscal impact report on the delinking bill, SB 62, was a vital tool leading to the bill’s defeat, and PCMA appreciates the hard work of the members who helped put that together. While the legislature did pass a costly coverage mandate for off-label prescriptions to treat rare diseases, we will be preparing a veto request to Governor Michelle Lujan-Grisham (D) in the coming days.
