In Review: PCMA had two meetings last week regarding Governor Kathy Hochul’s (D) budget proposal on PBM transparency. Staff from the Property & Casualty Insurance Committee specifically raised questions about firewalls between PBMs and GPOs but were receptive to points made about how drug companies benefit the most from public disclosure of rebate information. PCMA also met with Insurance Committee Chairman David Weprin (D) and fielded questions around rebate disclosure and what types of transparency benefit supply chain stakeholders.
Up Next: PCMA will meet with Assemblyman John McDonald (D) to discuss the budget language and answer questions on GPOs.
