Up Next: On Tuesday, PCMA will provide comment at the North Carolina Department of Insurance’s hearing on the proposed rules outlining the licensure process for PBMs. HB 163 (NADAC + DF, spread pricing, accreditation, pharmacy networks) will also be heard in the House Health Committee on Tuesday morning. There is a good chance Representative Heather Rhyne (R) will file an amendment before the meeting, but at this time, no one has any specific details. PCMA, NCAHP, and the brokers will testify in committee. The NC Chamber will also likely provide comments, depending on the amendatory language. PCMA and members will also be meeting with Senator Benton Sawrey (R) to discuss SB 479 (decline to fill, point-of-sale rebates, pharmacy networks, PSAO), which will likely be in committee next week. Sen. Sawrey is looking for industry feedback ahead of that meeting for potential ‘fixes’ to the bill.
