Up Next: After conversations with members of Senate Leadership in North Carolina regarding HB 246 (NADAC, dispensing fee, pharmacy networks) at the RLCC conference last week, PCMA will be initiating a digital ad campaign and emails to legislators opposing the legislation. Lawmakers have indicated that while there may not be an appetite to move the bill any time soon, they have been getting inundated with complaints from pharmacies/pharmacists. Additionally, PCMA is working on scheduling meetings with targeted lawmakers who have expressed interest and confusion as to how pharmacy reimbursement works and more general inquiries on PBM value propositions. Finally, the team on the ground is working to activate third-party allies, such as the NC Chamber and others to remind Senate Leadership and Health Care Committee members that HB 246 is bad policy for employers.
