In Review: Last week, PCMA, local counsel, and one member company representative met with Senators Overcsash and Sawrey and Madison Alligood, Policy Advisor to the Senate President Pro Tem. The meeting’s goal was to dive a bit deeper into PBMs, pharmacy reimbursement, the changing landscape of pharmacy practice, and correct some of the independent pharmacists’ inaccurate talking points. Currently, there is no new intel on the fate of HB 246 (NDAC +DF, Pharmacy Networks).
Up Next: The North Carolina Pharmacist Association will have its lobby day on May 29th. PCMA has and will continue to run its digital ad campaign and emails into legislative targets through then. PCMA will also be following up with Senator Burgin on our meeting with the Senators and Madison from last week.
