In Review: Last week, PCMA, Prime Therapeutics, and the Greater North Dakota Chamber of Commerce testified in opposition to HB 1584 (Removal of ERISA Exemption) in the House Business, Industry, and Labor Committee. In addition, there was a logo letter submitted to the Committee in opposition to the bill. SB 2280 (prior authorization) had Committee Work, amendment language was approved, and the Senate Industry and Business Committee gave it a “do pass as amended” recommendation. The following bills died: SB 2248 (Step Therapy Prohibition on Associated Conditions to Metastatic Cancer), HB 1452 (Coverage of Antiobesity Medications/Report to Legislature), and HB 1451 (Coverage of Antiobesity Medications for Medical Assistance).
Up Next: There will be Committee Work on HB 1584 (Removal of ERISA Exemption) and HB 1216 (copay accumulator) in the House Business, Industry, and Labor Committee.
