In Review: Committee Work was done in House Industry, Business and Labor on HB 1584 (Removal of ERISA Exemption) as well as HB 1216 (copay accumulator). HB 1584 was amended and the bill sponsor claimed that the amendments “fixed” the bill and it received a “do pass” recommendation and then went to the floor of the House and passed unanimously as the hatred of PBMs is extremely high. House Bill 1216 dealing with the issue of copay accumulators received a “do not pass” recommendation from the Committee but was passed on the floor of the House as introduced, which contains a very large fiscal note. Senate Bill 2280 (prior authorization) as amended passed the floor of the Senate.
