In Review: The House Industry, Business, and Labor Committee had Committee Work on SB 2280 (prior authorization), and we have heard more amendments are coming. The Senate passed and then reconsidered HB 1216 (copay accumulator) even though it received a “do not pass as amended” recommendation from the Senate Human Services Committee. The bill was rereferred to Senate Appropriations, and a hearing was held there on March 24.

Up Next: The hearing for HB 1584 (remove ERISA exemption) will take place on March 31. Our logo letter of opposition has over a dozen entitles on it and we are hearing the Department of Insurance has a fiscal note that is very high. HB 1216 (copay accumulator) is scheduled for Committee Work on March 31.
