In Review: The Interim Employee Benefits Programs Committee met on Thursday, September 12. At this meeting, they discussed bill drafts dealing with step therapy and the benefits of insulin drugs and medical supplies. The Committee approved both bill drafts. PCMA submitted a letter to the Committee expressing its concerns dealing with step therapy, as well as previously approved draft bills dealing with copay accumulators (even with an actuarial analysis of $8.6M for the state employee plan) and limitations on step therapy for associated conditions of metastatic cancer.
