In Review: On Wednesday, November 20, The House Insurance Committee held a public hearing on HB 505. In addition to PCMA testifying in opposition, The Ohio Chamber, URAC, Ohio Health Plans, NABIP, and the Ohio Business Roundtable all summitted testimony in opposition.

In addition, the Coalition, Ohio Employers Against Health Care Hikes, created a NASCAR-style letter comprised of 19 entities, including businesses and chambers that went to the committee members as well as all members of the legislature.

Up Next: The committee will not meet this week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. It is uncertain at this time if HB 505 will receive a vote out of committee the following Wednesday, December 4. PCMA counsel will be sure to share any new information as this situation continues to develop.
