In Review: The Ohio Board of Pharmacy(BoP) recently released a dashboard that will track pharmacy closures throughout the state. Takeaways from the press release
- BoP said there are no independent pharmacy closures only chains.
- BoP unilaterally defined ‘pharmacy desert’ for urban=1 mile without a pharmacy, and in rural, 10 miles.
Finally, the coalition has identified an author for an op-ed highlighting the finding of the BoP states that no independent pharmacy closed in 2024. The coalition will shop language to various Ohio newspapers once the author has finalized her op-ed.
