In Review: Last week Thursday, PCMA counsel received a budget amendment that would negatively impact PBMs. You can view the bill here. Some of the provisions include a ban on spread pricing, fiduciary mandate, any willing pharmacy, elimination of accreditation standards, and not allowing mail to count for network adequacy.
Up Next: This Wednesday, March 26, there will be an interest parties meeting taking place to discuss the pros and cons of the bill. PCMA and members will be attending. It remains to be seen if this will be a budget amendment or a piece of stand-alone legislation.
