Ohio Weekly Update 4.14.25

In Review: Last Thursday, the Ohio House of Representatives passed a budget containing anti-PBM provisions, including mandatory reimbursements, mandatory dispensing fees, decline to dispense, and retaliation prohibition. The Ohio State Senate will now begin working on and crafting its own budget approach. Representative Kellie Deeter (R-Norwalk) introduced HB 229, relating to PBM licensure, fiduciary requirements, and market conduct examination requirements. PCMA and member companies worked to remove many of the problematic provisions including a ban on spread pricing, a ban on accreditation, and a ban on steering.
