In Review: The Senate Finance Committee is holding public hearings this entire week on the Senate version of the state budget. On Friday, May 31, PCMA will testify in opposition to the state budget proposal. As a reminder, the budget vehicle, HB 96, includes a dispensing fee increase for Ohio-based pharmacies, minimum reimbursements, and a prohibition on retaliation.
Up Next: Once the budget hearings conclude, the Senate will make changes to the budget and vote out the bill somewhere around June 9 or 10. Since the budget will have differences from the House version, a Conference Committee will be organized to produce a conference report. Once the Conference Committee concludes its work, the legislature will vote on a conference bill that will be unamendable.
