In Review: PCMA continued our negotiations with the family doctors and Representative Carl Newton (R) on HB 1808. Meeting online last week, the family doctors articulated their primary concerns related to prior authorization for prescriptions and how we can work to address those concerns. PCMA circulated a proposed alternative to the language for the bill to PCMA members for their review ahead of our next meeting with Rep. Newton. Last week also saw the passage of the Attorney General’s two request bills and the pharmacists’ request bill, SB 789, and the fiduciary bill, SB 161, out of the Senate Business & Insurance Committee. PCMA is coordinating opposition to SB 789 and SB 161 with the business community and other possible allies.
