In Review: Last week marked the committee deadline in Oklahoma, requiring all bills to have passed out of their first committee in their chamber of origin. We were tracking nearly 40 bills in Oklahoma, and that number has now been reduced to less than 20. Several priority bills remain active, including those related to the Attorney General’s regulation of PBMs, PBM audits and acquisition cost reimbursement to pharmacies, fiduciary duties, causes of action, and 340B legislation. In another development, the Attorney General has requested an extension to file for certiorari with the U.S. Supreme Court in the Mulready case. Such extensions are commonly granted, which, if approved, will push significant timelines further into the future.
Up Next: This week, PCMA and our member companies are scheduled to meet with the Attorney General’s office to discuss the provisions of SB 1670, focusing on PBM audit and acquisition cost reimbursement. PCMA will hold a strategy call with our member companies in advance of the meeting on Wednesday morning.
