Oklahoma Weekly Update 4.1.24

In Review: PCMA met with the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association, representatives from the Attorney General’s office and a representative from AlighnRX, along with Representative Marcus McEntire (R) to discuss the pharmacists’ provisions of SB 1670, commonly referred to as the AG’s audit bill. PCMA discussed three provisions, including the MAC definition changes, acquisition cost reimbursement and WAC reimbursement for FDA drugs on a shortage list. We agreed to provide feedback. SB1670 passed the Senate with the title stricken and is now in the House Public Health Committee. SB1390, the AG regulation bill, has passed the House and was assigned to the House Rules Committee. The bill came out of Rules last week and is now ready to be voted on the floor. This bill has an emergency clause since this bill gives the AG the statutory authority needed to pass his regulations. HB3376, the trailer bill to SB1390, is still sitting in Senate Retirement and Insurance awaiting action. Standridge’s copay applicability bill, SB1915, has an amendment that would clarify that patients would never pay less than their stated copay. Oklahoma Families for Affordable Health Care has a campaign opposing SB1915.
