In Review: Last week, SB 789 passed out of the Public Health Committee and now moves on to the Health & Human Services Oversight Committee. Representative TJ Marti (R) is now carrying the bill on behalf of Representative Preston Stinson (R), who is absent due to ongoing health issues. This bill includes restrictions on audits, effective rate contracts, network leasing, and a reimbursement mandate of 106% of NADAC plus a dispensing fee of $15. PCMA continues to work with the State Chamber and Oklahoma Families for Affordable Healthcare to raise business and grassroots opposition to the bill. We are also working to highlight the recently released fiscal impact statement that runs counter to Rep. Marti’s assertion that the bill will actually save money.
