In Review: Last week, the Senate adopted the House amendments to SB 1670. The bill is now on the governor’s desk awaiting his approval or veto. After the bill passed the Senate, PCMA began its grassroots outreach and our outreach to grasstop groups like the State Chamber asking them to request a veto from the governor. PCMA, counsel for several of our members, and the health plans met with the Secretary of State and members of the governor’s staff to ask for a veto. We expect the governor to make his decision today or by tomorrow’s deadline.
