Oregon Weekly Update 4.7.25

In Review: PCMA members met with Chair Rob Nosse (D) last week to share our proposed language regarding HB 3212 (spread pricing, reimbursement, refuse to fill) along with our concerns with the pharmacists abusing the stakeholder process by raising new issues as well as canceling one of the meetings. The pharmacists agreed to Representative Ed Diehl’s (R) proposal that would allow them to charge a patient more if the reimbursement is below their acquisition cost. Prime Therapeutics, ESI, and Optum put together a final redline version along with language explaining why what the pharmacists have proposed either will not work or are new issues to the process the pharmacists have raised.

Up Next: The committee either has to advance the bill out this week or, if they want to extend stakeholder meetings, refer it to the Rules Committee.
