In Review: The Senate Health and Human Services Committee held hearings on S 2069, imposing a copay cap of $25 on asthma inhalers, and S 2177, which would no longer allow utilization management to treat alcohol or opioid use disorder. PCMA submitted written testimony on both bills. Both S 2069 and S 2177 were held for further study. PCMA met with Speaker Joe Shekarchi (D) to discuss H 7365, a ban on white bagging. We anticipate a
stakeholder meeting to take place later this week with the hospital association as well as health plans.
