In Review: The House Finance Committee held a hearing on H 7897 limiting prior authorizations and step therapy for serious mental illness. PCMA submitted written testimony in opposition to the bill. The bill was held for further study. PCMA participated in a stakeholder meeting on white bagging with the hospital association, insurers, and PCMA members. PCMA will work with the bill sponsor and offer language for the hospital to match the PBM specialty pharmacy price instead of the traditional buy-and-bill.
