South Carolina Weekly Update 2.18.25

In Review: Last week in Columbia, the House and Senate launched plans to address PBM issues in the State. In the Senate, SB 342 would set NADAC plus reimbursement for low-volume pharmacies, restrict PBM claim reconciliation, and allow the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to contract with no more than two Medicaid-Managed  Care Organizations and PBMs. Last week, the House announced an Ad-Hoc Committee on PBMs, Chaired by Representative Heath Sessions, that will start in March and hold at least one monthly meeting until the session ends.

Up Next: PCMA will be in Columbia this week to meet with House and Senate members on each chamber’s issues.
