In Review: PCMA spoke at a hearing last week in Columbia on SB 342, which, as introduced, was a NADAC plus dispensing fee bill. The legislation was amended in committee to include new licensure fees, establish new penalties, and ban “steering.” Before the hearing began, we expected the bill to come out of the subcommittee, but the committee adjourned without voting on it.

Up Next: At this point, PCMA anticipates that the bill, or a version of it, will come back before the subcommittee. PCMA is working closely with our members to discuss our pathway forward and alternative options to the underlying bill.
