In Review: There was a hearing on HB 1016 (Pharmacy Ownership) last week in the House Appropriations Committee, and the language approving the funds of $200,000 to the South Dakota Pharmacists Association was removed and passed out of the Committee. The following bills were introduced: HB 1137 (related to the treatment of pain with non-opioid drugs) and HB 1102 (Health Claims Data to the Department of Insurance). HB 1102 was heard in the House Commerce and Energy Committee and the bill sponsor asked that the Committee table the matter as there is no funding, and the Committee proceeded to do so.
