In Review: A copy of the hog-housed amendment to the gold carding bill, HB 1199, has been circulated, which is very close to what passed in Iowa, IA HF 303, last year. This includes prior authorization timeframe requirements, reporting, and gold carding. Unlike in Iowa, the amendment does not include an exemption for pharmacy, and PCMA is working to get this added. We are having a call to discuss this further, on the off chance the exemption is not added.
Up Next: The hearing for the gold carding bill, HB 1199, has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 17.
