South Dakota Weekly Update 3.17.25

In Review: Last Thursday was the last regular legislative day of the 2025 session, and the language from SB 158 (prior authorization and gold carding) was not added to an existing bill (referred to as a “hog house” amendment”.)

Up Next: The legislature will come back on March 31 for a veto session and to finish up any other business before adjourning sine die. Relative to the prior authorization/gold carding issue, we have heard a rumor there may possibly be a ballot initiative on the issue.
