In Review: Last week, SB 502 (white bagging) was deferred on the Senate floor to Monday, April 15, the second deferral over the last two weeks. During the last two weeks, PCMA’s coalition, the Tennessee Employer Benefits Alliance, has been running digital ads opposing the bill and generating emails to legislators’ offices. With other factors weighing into the bill’s passage, it is unclear if the bill will ultimately get a vote in the Senate, however, the momentum seems to be moving in the direction of the bill dying.
