In Review: PBM-related issues continue to be front and center in Austin. While our team and coalition partners have worked hard to narrow the number of bills in play, as bills move to the floor in the House and Senate, several vehicles for various bad ideas are still available. PCMA and TAHP have been working closely on Representative Greg Bonnen’s (R) prior authorization/gold carding package and have made several improvements. However, some issues remain in the bill, but are unlikely to be fixed at this point.

Up Next: This week, we are focusing our attention on the pharmacy reimbursement and DOI oversight bills, as those are prime vehicles for several other PBM-related bills we have either neutralized or kept from a committee vote.
