In Review: PCMA spoke to the Texas Pharmacy Initiative(TPI) on Tuesday, August 20. The presentation focused on how PBMs operate and highlighted what states have done within the scope of the legislation that established the TPI, and addressed claims made by previous presenters. The hearing went well, with the committee members appreciative of the discussion.

Up Next: PCMA received a request from House Insurance Chairman Thomas Oliverson (R) to speak at a hearing he has scheduled for September 5. PCMA met with our members to discuss this meeting and decided our best path forward since it is unlikely that Chairman Oliverson will chair Insurance’s next session because he has decided to run against the sitting Speaker of the House. We will submit a written response on the issues that he plans to discuss during the hearing.
