In Review: Senator Curt Bramble (R) has filed SB 152 (copay accumulators), which mirrors a bill introduced in 2023. The Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce and the South Valley Chamber of Commerce are actively opposing the bill and collaborating with businesses in their efforts. On January 24, PCMA and member company lobbyists met with Speaker Mike Schultz (R) and provided an introduction to PBM 101. Additionally, Representative Norman Thurston (R) proposed an amendment that includes spread pricing, AWP, dispensing fees, and Private Right of Action language. PCMA members are working on finding a compromise and identifying the problem Rep. Thurston is trying to solve.
