Utah Weekly Update 3.4.24

In Review: HB 425 (POS, Self-insured, spread pricing, fees) failed to secure a majority vote in the Senate Health and Human Services Committee to advance, as it received a vote of 2-1. As a result, the bill failed to pass by the end of the session. Senator Bramble discussed SB 152 (copay accumulator) on the Senate floor but chose to table it. PCMA and member companies had successfully removed the PBM language the previous week, with the SLC Chamber actively participating in the legislative effort related to self-insured plans. Utah’s legislative session concluded on March 3rd without any anti-PBM bills being enacted.
