In Review: PCMA testified in the Senate Committee on Finance, expressing our concerns about H 233, the bill to ban spread pricing, and the private right of action. PCMA followed up with Senator Kesha Hinsdale (D) on the issues with a private right of action, and the senator referred the bill to the Senate Judiciary Committee for review. Ultimately, an amendment was filed to strike the section with the private right of action. Instead, the Department of Financial Regulation will study the impact of a private right of action. PCMA will meet with Vermont members to work on a veto strategy on the ban on spread pricing. Vermont is expected to adjourn Friday night.
