In Review: Delegate M. Keith Hodges’s (R) bill requiring the attorney general to implement a work group to study the Rutledge decision (HB1432) that PCMA is opposed to was defeated in the House Rules Committee today. Hodges’s expansion of pharmacy technician duties that PCMA supports has moved to the House floor for consideration.
Up Next: Most of the bills PCMA is opposing or monitoring are expected to be heard in the House Commerce and Labor Subcommittee next Tuesday, February 6. The bills we oppose include HB1041 – POS rebates, the fiduciary duty of care, and delinking; HB104 – pharmacist refuse to fill; HB1006 – white bagging and anti-mail; and HB1136 ERISA audits. Also expected to be heard next week are HB1402, PBM licensure requirements, and HB570, PDAB, which PCMA is neutral on.
